More explanation, the short version... A family on the way to San Fransisco to take G'ma home got hit. Everyone was fine, mom was pretty shaken up, and between that, dealing with the insurance company to try and get a tow truck, and just being stranded on the side of the freeway... Danny's calm helpfulness resulted in the mom giving him a big hug, and the pie wasn't going to make it to San Fran, so they insisted he take it. Ask him if you want a better version of the story :)
