Monday: Pack and load the truck
Go to Camping World for a new mattress for trailer
Hitch up trailer
Get lunch at Quizno's
Drive and drive
Get to RV park in Pismo (one we've never been to and Danny says never again), see
tiny space. Wonder if we will fit
30 or so frustrating minutes (with 6 old men standing around giving advice) and one truck window later, we do indeed fit
Go to Lori and Mike's, have dinner, use some of their duct tape, relax
Tuesday: Pay for space (office was closed when we got there Monday)
Go to Wal-Mart for miscellaneous items needed for trailer (pillows, bedding,
hoses, etc)
Put EVERYTHING away
Get dinner from Splash Cafe, go back to Lori and Mike's
Wednesday: Danny gets up early to drive to San Luis to get a new window for his truck
Pack up the trailer, drive to the storage place, drop it off, big sigh of relief
Meet Mary, Devin, Kayla and Grandma Newton (Mary's mom) in Avila for more
beach time
Head home, I can't remember the last time I was so ready to be home!
Another way I could break this all down....
new mattress: $400
camping site: $115
parts/etc: $350
new window: $310
fuel: ????
food: ??
A few days of family fun: Priceless!
(Honestly probably the most expensive family trip we've ever taken)
Okay seriously, we did have a good trip, we just had to try harder than usual to make it that way, and now we have some memories we may laugh at, sometime in the future.

Sounds like a busy trip but at least you got to spend it together. Maybe your next vacation all of you could come visit us ;-)
Hey, we know how expensive vacations go. (The unintentional ones anyway!) How did the truck window get broken? That trailer park looks familiar. If it's the one we stayed at the spaces are way too small.
Memories are priceless! :) It's only money...And the pics, (except maybe the broken window) makes it look like you all had so much fun!
Laurie asked the question, we all want to know.... How didnthe windowget broken?
Ask Danny...
in a year or so you will look back and laugh, yes even at the broken window.
