We spent most of the week down at the lake about 3 minutes from home, with the Bushlings and Hansens. We camped, we fished, we played, we swam and rode the wave runner, we watched a helicopter drop water on a fire. And we could run home when we wanted or needed anything (like a shower). I am not a big fan of tent camping or lakes, but we had a lot of fun.
One of the canopies was blown over by the wind, so we lowered the other one and everyone tried to sit under it. It looked a little silly. Caleb has more patience than I even imagined possible, he stood in the lake and fished for hours. He didn't catch anything, maybe next time.
The water felt good as the days got hot (it finally feels like summer here).Ryan loves playing with babies, and Jayda loved being pulled around on the boogie board, even after Josh and Spencer tried to pick one up with her on it and dumped her on her face, she is tough, no tears.
Tayah was the only one that caught any fish, then they found some dead ones and scooped them up in the net. A little gross but entertaining.
Crazy boys!Everyone took turns riding the Wave Runner. I even got on it...twice!
There was a small fire across the lake, the helicopter flying in and scooping up water was really cool!
